Job Purpose

To monitor compliance on Municipal Public Accounts support.

Requirements

  • Matric Certificate
  • Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6) in Public Administration, Law, Political Science, Ethics, Public Governance, Financial Management, Accounting, or Auditing, recognized by SAQA
  • Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in municipal administration or municipal governance environment
  • A valid driver’s license

Duties

  • Ensure compliance with Financial Regulation, Municipal Financial Management Act, and municipal policies
  • Analyse Municipal Financial reports and statements
  • Facilitate municipal Public Accounts Committee meetings and hearings
  • Maintain Public Account stakeholder engagements
  • Review implementation of Public Accounts recommendations
  • Provide Public Accounts capacity building programmes
