Job Purpose:

To monitor the provision of municipal council oversight support services.

Requirements:

  • Matric Certificate
  • Diploma or Degree (NQF level 6) in Public Administration, Political Science, Public Management, Development Studies, Public Governance, or Social Sciences, as recognized by SAQA
  • Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in municipal administration or municipal governance environment
  • A valid driver’s license

Duties:

  • Conduct regular municipal council audits and assessments
  • Provide oversight and monitoring for municipal councils
  • Develop and review guidelines for council operations, including ethical governance, transparency, and anti-corruption measures
  • Conduct capacity-building programs for municipal councils
  • Maintain stakeholder engagement and reporting
