Minimum requirements:
- Engineering Degree (Minimum NQF 7 – BEng/BSc Eng/B-Tech)
- Registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist
- Minimum competency Unit Standards as provided for in the MFMA, or willingness to obtain them within 18 months of appointment
- Minimum 10 years post-qualification (Degree) experience in Water & Sanitation Services
- Minimum 5 years at senior and middle management level
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence
- Computer literacy
Other Requirements:
- Specialized knowledge of Water and Wastewater Treatment
- Specialized knowledge of Water and Wastewater pumping systems
- Solid knowledge of the regulatory requirements for Water and Wastewater Services
- Managerial and supervisory skills
- Human relations and communication skills
- Conflict handling skills
- Ability to give attention to detail
- High level of responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to assign priorities based on level of urgency and importance
- Excellent Project Management Skills
- Language proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape (English, Xhosa, and Afrikaans)
