Senior Manager: Valuation Services

Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Job Type: Full Time
Experience: 6-8 years (3+ years at managerial level)

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Bachelor’s degree/NQF Level 7 in Real Estate – Property Valuation (or SACPVP-recognized equivalent)
  • Valid Professional Valuer/Associate registration with SACPVP
  • Demonstrated experience in municipal property legislation and development
  • Proven project management skills
  • Computer proficiency (MS Office essential)
  • Valid driver’s license with own transport

Primary Objective

Lead property valuation operations and maintenance of municipal valuation rolls, ensuring compliance with Municipal Property Rates Act and alignment with City development goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee technical operations of municipal valuations
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and council policies
  • Manage valuation processes for park contributions
  • Develop and implement operational plans
  • Lead team performance management
  • Establish efficient document management systems
  • Optimize resource allocation and financial control
  • Produce analytical reports and risk assessments
  • Drive continuous improvements in valuation processes
  • Engage stakeholders on valuation matters
