Senior Manager: Human Resources (Permanent) Jobs

Job Purpose:

The role involves strategic human resource planning, development, and mandatory reporting under labour legislation, IDP, and SDBIP. It includes records management and oversight of HR administrative functions. Key responsibilities are to develop, implement, review, and update the HR strategy in line with the IDP, ensure compliance with legislation, collective agreements, and council policies on employment equity, occupational health and safety, labour relations, skills development, and basic conditions of employment. The position also covers organizational development, individual performance management across the organization, and managing internal and external stakeholder relations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A relevant B Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (NQF level 7).
• Preference will be given to candidates with a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management.
• 8 years or more of relevant post-graduation experience in a range of human resources functions, including at least 5 years at a Human Resources Management level.
• Computer literacy in MS Office.
• A valid Code B driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
• Compliance with the National Treasury Regulations on the required Minimum Competency Level.
• Unit Standards applicable to this position, or completion of these standards within 18 months from the date of appointment, as per GNR 1146 under Government Gazette 41996, dated 26 October 2018.
