Core Responsibilities

  • Serve on Strategic Management Team for Electro-Technical Services
  • Develop and implement policies for electrical infrastructure management
  • Oversee reliable electricity distribution across municipal area
  • Manage division budgets and asset maintenance programs
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA and quality management systems
  • Lead team of technical professionals and support staff

Essential Qualifications

  • NQF Level 7 qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Eligible for ECSA professional registration (to be completed within 8 months)
  • Electrical Engineering Certificate of Competency
  • Valid Code B driver’s license
  • Bilingual proficiency (two official Western Cape languages)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing ECSA professional registration (Engineer/Technologist)
