Position Details

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Preferred) in Labour Relations/Law
- Experience: 10+ years (5+ years at senior level)
- Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Candidate Requirements
- Expert knowledge of labour legislation and collective bargaining processes
- Proven negotiation skills in complex labor environments
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities
- Advanced conflict resolution expertise
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license
Key Responsibilities
Representation & Advocacy
- Lead municipal representation at bargaining councils and dispute resolutions
- Manage labor relations processes including arbitration and disciplinary hearings
- Develop advocacy positions for sector mandates
Municipal Support
- Provide expert guidance on labor relations compliance
- Conduct capacity building programs for municipal staff
- Develop implementation guidelines for labor legislation
Strategic Operations
- Oversee program planning and budget management
- Implement monitoring systems for policy compliance
- Manage organizational risks and governance processes
