Requirements
- National Diploma (NQF6) in Forestry/Nature Conservation or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Indigenous Forest Management
- Knowledge of relevant legislation: National Forests Act, National Veld Forest Fire Act, NEMA, NEMBA, PSA, PFMA
- Proficiency in GIS techniques and Environmental Impact Assessments
- Valid driver’s license required
Key Responsibilities
- Implement infrastructure maintenance plans for forest roads, buildings, and boundary markers
- Preserve forest biodiversity and rehabilitate degraded areas
- Enforce National Forest Act and National Veld & Forest Fire Act regulations
- Monitor endangered species and control invasive plants
- Manage community relations and environmental awareness programs
- Supervise staff and maintain forest security
