Position: Senior Court Interpreter (Ref No: 2025/53/MP)

Location: Nsikazi Magistrate Office, Mpumalanga

Salary Range: R325,101 – R382,959 per annum
Performance agreement required upon appointment

Minimum Requirements

  • NQF Level 4/Grade 12 PLUS one of:
    • National Diploma in Legal Interpreting/equivalent language qualification + 3 years court interpreting experience
    • 10 years practical court interpreting experience (without diploma)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Language proficiency in:
    • English (required)
    • Two of: SiSwati, IxiTsonga, Sepedi

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide court interpretation services
  • Translate legal documents and evidence
  • Develop specialized terminology databases
  • Support court record management (ICMS system)
  • Supervise junior interpreters
  • Perform administrative tasks
