Job Description
Position Purpose:
- Establish and manage the Transnet Assessment and Development Centre, ensuring high-quality implementation of assessment processes.
- Oversee day-to-day assessments for recruitment, selection, and development of employees.
- Deliver assessment-related projects professionally and ethically, maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.
- Provide leadership and support to ensure best practices in talent management and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement customized talent assessment processes aligned with business needs.
- Develop and manage employee assessment processes for selection, placement, and development.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate assessment tools and services.
- Manage operational risks and gaps in product offerings.
- Lead projects to improve operational efficiency and meet business strategies.
- Oversee assessment projects across Transnet Operating Divisions, ensuring delivery according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Administer standardized assessments for recruitment, progression, and development purposes.
- Compile and present feedback reports to stakeholders.
- Identify development gaps and recommend training interventions.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, and leadership development support.
- Facilitate team interventions and talent management forums.
- Conduct data analytics, research, and benchmarking activities.
- Manage competency profiling, skills audits, and interview guides.
- Maintain professional and confidential document management systems.
- Stay updated on laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end projects and internship programs for psychologists and psychometrists.
Qualifications and Experience
- Honours degree in Social Sciences or equivalent.
- Registration with HPCSA as an Industrial Psychologist or Psychometrist.
- Accreditation in assessment tools such as CPP, JvR leadership assessment batteries, Psytech batteries, and CPRD/Dover system tools.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in assessment and development environments.
- Experience in SLA and contract administration.
- Ability to travel regularly and a valid driver’s license.
