Core Purpose

Design and implement technology solutions that enhance Customs & Excise operations through specialized business analysis and system optimization.

Key Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Customs & Excise operations/policy/systems
  • Understanding of:
    – Registration/Licensing systems
    – Traveller Management frameworks
    – Authorized Economic Operator protocols

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence:

  • Analyze and improve customs systems & processes
  • Develop functional requirements documentation
  • Manage system change implementations

Compliance & Collaboration:

  • Ensure adherence to tax legislation and SARS policies
  • Coordinate with cross-functional IT and operational teams

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify automation opportunities
  • Conduct system performance analysis
  • Provide user training and support
