Senior Administrative Officer: Finance and Medical Records (Patient Administration and Hospital Fees)

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in revenue management (hospital fees and patient administration) and medical records.
  • Supervisory experience in revenue (hospital fees and patient administration) and medical records.

Competencies (Knowledge/Skills):

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Knowledge of AR System, Clinicom, BAS, and JAC, as well as UPFS, Chapter 18, PFMA, handling state money, patient valuables (Chapter 6), and patient records management. Familiarity with related circulars, instructions, and policies.
  • Strong supervisory, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills. A sense of responsibility, willingness to travel, and ability to work after hours when needed.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills. Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Duties (Key Result Areas/Outputs):

  • Manage patient administration services and medical records to improve data quality and patient information. Follow finance instructions, circulars, and policies.
  • Oversee the fees department. Ensure compliance with finance instructions, revenue notices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and PFMA. Attend meetings and forums.
  • Manage revenue debt and budget control effectively. Complete and submit monthly reports, and provide feedback to management.
  • Handle human resources management, including disciplinary procedures, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
