About Us:
The Community Schemes Ombud Service (CSOS) is a statutory entity established under the Community Scheme Ombud Service Act (2011) to regulate community housing schemes and promote good governance. Operational since October 2016, we play a vital role in South Africa’s housing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead budget planning processes in compliance with National Treasury requirements
- Prepare capital and operational budgets with realistic revenue projections
- Develop financial reports using authorized templates and legislative guidelines
- Manage general ledger maintenance and oversee accounting systems
- Produce monthly/quarterly financial reports and annual statements
- Coordinate ENE reports and National Treasury documentation
- Facilitate AG audit processes and support annual report preparation
Requirements:
- National Diploma/Degree in Finance (NQF Level 7)
- 3-5 years’ relevant financial experience
- Strong understanding of GRAP standards and PFMA regulations
- Proven budget management expertise
- Experience in internal control implementation
- Policy drafting and OLA management skills
- Excellent decision-making and customer service abilities
