Requirements

• Grade 11 certificate or equivalent (NQF Level 3)
• Completed basic security officer training program
• Valid Grade C PSIRA certification
• Firearm competency certificate (advantageous)
• Understanding of security protocols and access control systems
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures
• Familiarity with asset protection regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Implement access control measures for premises protection
• Conduct security patrols and monitor surveillance systems
• Respond to and report security incidents using official registers
• Coordinate with emergency services when required
• Prevent unauthorized removal of organizational assets
• Enforce departmental security regulations
