Position Details

  • Position: Section Head: Forensic Analysis – Forensic Accounting Investigation (Brigadier Level)
  • Location: Gauteng
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years (Post-article experience)
  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7+) in Accounting, BCom, Law, or related field

Key Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Associate General Accountant (AGA) certification
  • 3+ years managerial experience in forensic accounting or audit environments
  • Valid driver’s license and South African citizenship
  • Fluency in English and one other official language

Preferred Credentials:

  • Membership with Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE)
  • Knowledge of Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) operations
  • Leadership/Management training certification

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversee forensic accounting investigations for complex financial crimes
  • Manage case registration and resource allocation for investigations
  • Review financial compliance with IFRS, GRAP, PFMA, and MFMA standards
  • Coordinate asset identification for forfeiture processes
  • Testify as expert witness in court proceedings
  • Maintain interagency collaboration and security protocol compliance
