Requirements:

  • Grade 12 plus a National Diploma in Public/Office Administration or Computer Literacy in Office Applications.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a secretary or in office management.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in financial management is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide secretarial support to the Chief Financial Officer and the Budget and Treasury department. Type and file internal and external correspondence.
  • Manage the Chief Financial Officer’s diary.
  • Arrange and confirm appointments.
  • Make bookings for travel and accommodation for the department.
  • Handle general office support functions.
  • Organize departmental and external meetings for the Budget and Treasury department.
  • Answer phone calls and greet visitors to the Budget and Treasury directorate.
  • Record details of inquiries and messages when staff are unavailable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head of department.
