Position: Scientist Production (Natural Sciences)

Key Information

• Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
• Education Requirements:
  – National Senior Certificate
  – NQF Level 8 in Zoology/Natural Sciences
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in museum/natural science environment
• Location: Eastern Cape Province
• Professional Registration: SACNASP certification (Mandatory)

Core Responsibilities

• Develop scientific policies and quality assurance protocols
• Conduct advanced data analysis using modern methodologies
• Lead research initiatives and publish findings
• Manage scientific mentorship programs for staff development
• Advise stakeholders on science-related regulations/policies

Essential Competencies

• Expertise in natural science research techniques
• Proven ability to interpret complex datasets
• Strong knowledge of public service regulations
• Experience in scientific team supervision
• Excellent technical report writing skills
