Production Assistant Opportunity: Saveall Operations (Fixed-Term Contract)

Position Summary

Role: Saveall Production Assistant (FTC)
Location: Nelspruit, Mpumalanga
Education: Matric with Maths/Science OR N3 Engineering/Pulp & Paper
Experience: Mechanical/Production environment (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily inspections of paper production equipment
  • Maintain operational efficiency of thickeners/saveall systems
  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical/operational issues
  • Supervise contractor activities during maintenance shutdowns
  • Ensure compliance with health/safety protocols and quality standards
  • Maintain clean workspaces and production equipment

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Technical understanding of paper manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Kraft/Newsprint/Groundwood operations
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace safety
