Purpose of the Role

Coordinate and direct maintenance and repair services for a specific process within a production line. Manage control panels and troubleshoot complex issues to keep the plant running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide regular feedback to supervisors on work progress.
  • Participate in risk assessments to improve safety.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow waste disposal procedures.
  • Work independently and understand the business, drivers, and KPIs.
  • Apply and maintain safety practices in the workplace.
  • Attend shift handover meetings.
  • Identify personal training needs and include them in a Personal Development Plan.
  • Coach learners and subject matter experts on the job.
  • Present on specific plant equipment.
  • Conduct IMS inspections to improve plant sustainability.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Play a key role during emergency situations to restore plant operations.
  • Give and receive feedback to other disciplines on daily issues.
  • Contribute to toolbox talks to enhance plant safety.

Formal Education

Matric/N3 with Maths, English, and Physical Science.

CHIETA NQF Level 2 or CPO Competency certificate.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Licenses

Valid driver’s licence.
