Sales Assistant – Old Khaki – Harvest Place Jobs

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exceed customer expectations by using effective customer selling techniques.
• Follow stock loss controls in the store.
• Meet individual targets consistently.
• Maximize and drive sales by spotting opportunities to increase turnover.
• Maintain housekeeping and uphold visual merchandising standards to boost sales.
• Create an inspiring environment and have fun at work.
• Process all purchases: receive, verify, and handle payments such as cash, cards, vouchers, coupons, and other accepted methods.
• Ensure all outgoing stock, items, or scripts are scanned and paid for.
• Handle all loyalty cards, including those from partner programs.
• Build professional relationships with customers and offer friendly, helpful, and courteous assistance and advice.
• Report customer compliments and complaints to management.
• Address all customer stock queries and resolve them promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent.
• Up to 6 months of retail experience.

Special Conditions of Employment:

• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Willing and able to work retail hours.
• South African citizen.

Advantageous:

• 1 year of work experience in retail.
• Microsoft computer proficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of current clothing trends or outdoor lifestyle (depending on the brand).
