Founded in 1820, Premier has a rich history of more than 195 years. We recently moved to new corporate offices in Waterfall City, north of Johannesburg. Over the past two years, we have expanded from our traditional milling and baking business into sugar and other areas.

Job Description

You will assist with deliveries of Premier products. The main focus is to maintain and grow sales volumes through excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle bread sales
  • Load and off-load bread
  • Monitor stock levels
  • Pick products according to invoices
  • Pack shelves following standard operating procedures (SOP)
  • Check bread quality – ensure no damaged bread is delivered to customers; separate damaged bread as per procedure
  • Separate damaged crates as per procedure
  • Report damaged items to the Salesman Driver
  • Ensure crates are returned daily according to SOP
  • Handle products properly to reduce returns and damages
  • Communicate with customers to ensure correct ordering and crate management
  • Follow safe working practices

Qualification Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Mathematics is advantageous for career development)

Experience Requirements

  • Valid Code C1 driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP) – essential
  • At least 1 year in a similar role in the FMCG industry, with a focus on customer service, FMCG background, and good knowledge of bread

Other Requirements

  • Work in a pressurised environment
  • 6-day work week
  • Available to work Saturdays, Sundays, Public Holidays, and on 24/7 standby
  • Handle heavy products and equipment – requires physical strength
  • Work long hours
