Sales Assistant – Electrical & Lighting Department

Company Overview:

Position Purpose:

Deliver exceptional customer service while providing expert product recommendations to meet client needs. Drive sales growth through professional customer engagement and effective department management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers in product selection
  • Maintain optimal stock levels through regular counts and inventory management
  • Process orders and manage customer administration
  • Ensure effective product merchandising and accurate pricing
  • Maintain clean and organized department presentation
  • Handle special orders and supplier communications
  • Participate in stock management processes

Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma (Matric certificate)
  • 2+ years hardware retail experience
  • Specialized knowledge of electrical & lighting products
  • Proven sales ability and customer service skills
  • Basic computer and administrative skills
  • Clear verbal/written communication
