Peace Parks Foundation
Founded by President Nelson Mandela, Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, and Dr. Anton Rupert in 1997, Peace Parks Foundation began with a goal to rewild southern Africa. This effort grew into Africa’s largest nature conservation project. At first, the focus was on uniting heads of state to build transboundary landscapes. Peace Parks’ work continues to promote peace and conservation across borders.
