Position Summary
We seek a qualified professional to oversee risk management and internal audit functions within our rural municipal administration.
Compensation
R249,585.84 – R323,959.20 per annum
Requirements
- National Diploma/Degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in government financial environments
- Valid Code 8 driver’s license
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of MFMA, MSA, and King IV regulations
- Bilingual (English & isiZulu)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement risk management frameworks and audit plans
- Monitor internal control systems effectiveness
- Prepare reports for audit committees and council
- Maintain risk registers and mitigation strategies
- Coordinate implementation of audit recommendations
- Facilitate fraud prevention initiatives
