Position Summary

We seek a qualified professional to oversee risk management and internal audit functions within our rural municipal administration.

Compensation

R249,585.84 – R323,959.20 per annum

Requirements

  • National Diploma/Degree in Risk Management, Internal Audit, or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in government financial environments
  • Valid Code 8 driver’s license
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of MFMA, MSA, and King IV regulations
  • Bilingual (English & isiZulu)

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement risk management frameworks and audit plans
  • Monitor internal control systems effectiveness
  • Prepare reports for audit committees and council
  • Maintain risk registers and mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate implementation of audit recommendations
  • Facilitate fraud prevention initiatives
