Experience: 3+ years in water sector research

Key Responsibilities

Research Execution

  • Design and manage research projects aligned with legislative frameworks
  • Analyze data from diverse sources to support policy development
  • Prepare briefing documents for oversight visits and international engagements

Strategic Support

  • Contribute to parliamentary business planning processes
  • Identify emerging sector issues for committee attention
  • Develop concept documents for parliamentary projects

Knowledge Management

  • Monitor policy developments and legislative gaps
  • Maintain current expertise through continuous professional development
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders

Essential Requirements

  • Honours degree in relevant environmental/engineering field
  • Proven experience in applied water sector research
  • Strong understanding of water/sanitation policy frameworks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Parliamentary procedure knowledge (advantageous)
