Position Summary:

Seeking qualified researcher to lead national projects in rangeland/forage science. Contract position with potential for mentorship and scientific leadership.

Key Details:

  • Education: PhD or MSc with 3+ years experience
  • Experience: 3-5 years in agricultural research
  • Specialization: Pasture Science/Agronomy

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute research projects
  • Manage project budgets up to R2M
  • Secure external funding through proposals
  • Publish peer-reviewed research findings
  • Supervise graduate students
  • Collaborate with national/international partners

Candidate Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc with crop science focus
  • Proven project management experience
  • 3-5 peer-reviewed publications
  • Experience supervising research teams
  • Proficiency in data analysis/reporting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional registration with scientific body
  • Conference presentation experience
  • Experience securing research grants
