Position: Researcher: Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation
Key Details

Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Design and manage research projects to address policy questions
- Collect/verify data from credible sources and interpret findings
- Prepare briefing documents for oversight visits and parliamentary projects
Strategic Support
- Contribute to committee business planning processes
- Identify key sector issues requiring parliamentary attention
- Participate in conceptualizing sectoral parliaments
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Track policy/legislative developments nationally and internationally
- Prepare reports for regional parliamentary forums (SADC-PF, PAP, IPU)
- Implement quality control standards for research outputs
Requirements
- Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Public Administration/Political Science/Developmental Studies
- Minimum 3 years’ governance sector research experience
- Understanding of public sector legislative frameworks
- Monitoring & evaluation expertise (advantageous)
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
