Position Details

Education Requirements: Honours Degree (NQF 8) in Political Science, Legal Studies, Public Administration or related field
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct parliamentary research using verified sources and policy frameworks
- Prepare strategic briefings for oversight visits and international engagements
- Analyze policy developments and legislative gaps
- Support committee processes through evidence-based recommendations
- Maintain current knowledge of constitutional affairs and parliamentary systems
- Develop research projects aligning with parliamentary priorities
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in parliamentary or legislative research
- Strong understanding of SADC/PAP/IPU parliamentary frameworks
- Expertise in policy analysis and technical report writing
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable insights
- Proficiency in project management methodologies
