Qualifications: National Diploma in Veterinary Technology (B-Tech preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bacteriological testing on veterinary samples following ISO/IEC 17025 standards
- Conduct bacterial culture, isolation, and identification from various sample types
- Execute bio-typing and serotyping of zoonotic pathogens
- Manage sample documentation and storage protocols
- Maintain laboratory equipment and consumables inventory
- Support research projects and method development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems
Essential Requirements:
- Valid registration with South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
- Proven experience in bacteriology laboratory operations
- Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary pathogens and diseases
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license (advantageous)
