Qualification: National Diploma/BTech/BSc in Plant Breeding, Crop Production or Agronomy
Experience: 3+ years in crop production systems
About the Role:
Join our team supporting vital agricultural research through analytical expertise and technical leadership in seed system development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and validate analytical methods using advanced laboratory technologies (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS)
- Conduct quality-controlled testing of plant-based materials
- Supervise technical staff and support project coordination
- Implement ISO 17025 quality management standards
- Analyze and present research data to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality protocols
- Support technology transfer and capacity building initiatives
Requirements:
- National Diploma or degree in relevant agricultural field
- Proven experience in crop production systems
- Working knowledge of seed system fundamentals
- Experience with root/tuber crops (advantageous)
- Familiarity with laboratory quality systems (ISO 17025 preferred)
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Computer literacy and valid driver’s license
- Registration with professional body (advantageous)
