Key Responsibilities
• Design & execute field/greenhouse trials for vegetable breeding programs
• Coordinate data collection, analysis, and technical reporting
• Manage research facilities, equipment, and project budgets
• Support nationwide agricultural research initiatives
• Implement modern crop management practices (irrigation, pest control, soil health)
Requirements
Essential:
– National Diploma in Horticulture/Crop Production (NQF 6)
– 2+ years field crop production experience
– Proficiency in trial management & agronomic practices
– Valid driver’s license
Advantageous:
– Bachelor’s degree in Plant Breeding
– Experience with indigenous vegetables
– Irrigation system expertise
