Research Technician: Agronomy (Roodeplaat)

3-Year Fixed Term Contract | Gauteng

Key Requirements

  • • National Diploma/BTech in Horticulture/Crop Production
  • • 2+ years crop production experience
  • • Hydroponic/Medicinal Plant experience preferred
  • • Valid driver’s license

Core Responsibilities

  • • Plan and conduct field/greenhouse trials for vegetable/medicinal crops
  • • Manage research data collection and analysis
  • • Maintain project equipment and resources
  • • Assist with technical reports and budget management
  • • Support technology transfer through training/workshops

Preferred Skills

  • • Knowledge of irrigation systems and pest management
  • • Experience with indigenous crops
  • • Soil water monitoring techniques
  • • Strong communication abilities
