Core Responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans and manage research project execution
• Lead technology transfer through publications and presentations
• Oversee resource allocation and budget management
• Manage multidisciplinary teams and performance evaluations
• Drive research funding proposals and stakeholder collaborations
• Maintain research infrastructure and equipment standards
• Produce annual reports for funders and oversight bodies

Candidate Requirements

• PhD in Biosystematics/Botany or related biological sciences
• Proven leadership in agricultural research projects
• 8-10 years’ post-doctoral experience in plant science fields
• Strong record of scientific publications and funding acquisition
• Valid driver’s license (Code B & EB)
• SACNASP registration preferred
