Position Overview:
- Contract Type: 3-Year Fixed Term
- Education Requirement: Matric (Grade 12/NQF4) OR Grade 10 (NQF2) with extended experience
- Experience Needed: 3-8 years in Crop Protection/Agronomy
- Work Locations: Gauteng Province
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct supervised plant breeding operations
- Manage crop samples collection and processing
- Oversee seed harvesting, cleaning, and storage
- Coordinate fieldwork activities and resource management
- Maintain clear communication with supervisors
- Comply with all safety protocols and procedures
Essential Requirements:
- Practical experience in vegetable crop management (planting, irrigation, harvesting)
- Greenhouse operations knowledge (sanitation, plantlet production)
- Equipment and agricultural tool proficiency
- Understanding of pesticide/herbicide applications (advantageous)
- Valid driver’s license required
