Position Overview:

  • Contract Type: 3-Year Fixed Term
  • Education Requirement: Matric (Grade 12/NQF4) OR Grade 10 (NQF2) with extended experience
  • Experience Needed: 3-8 years in Crop Protection/Agronomy
  • Work Locations: Gauteng Province

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supervised plant breeding operations
  • Manage crop samples collection and processing
  • Oversee seed harvesting, cleaning, and storage
  • Coordinate fieldwork activities and resource management
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors
  • Comply with all safety protocols and procedures

Essential Requirements:

  • Practical experience in vegetable crop management (planting, irrigation, harvesting)
  • Greenhouse operations knowledge (sanitation, plantlet production)
  • Equipment and agricultural tool proficiency
  • Understanding of pesticide/herbicide applications (advantageous)
  • Valid driver’s license required
