Position Overview:

Join the WEATHER research project team to conduct epidemiological analyses and support public health research objectives. This role includes pursuing a Master’s degree aligned with project goals.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute research sub-study for Master’s thesis
  • Enroll in Master’s program within first 6 months
  • Manage data collection and quality assurance processes
  • Perform statistical analysis using Python/R
  • Prepare reports and research publications
  • Present findings at academic events

Essential Qualifications:

  • Honours degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or Health Informatics
  • Proficiency in data programming and analysis tools
  • Understanding of data quality management principles
  • Valid South African driver’s license
  • South African citizenship

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in multidisciplinary team environments
  • Strong mathematical/statistical foundation
  • International collaboration experience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
