Key Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or Science
- 3-5 years experience in financial markets
- FAIS certifications (RE5, RE1, RE3) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree/MBA/CFA/CA qualification
- Engineering/Geology background (B.Sc)
- Experience in mining/oil & gas sectors
Core Skills:
- Resources sector expertise (commodities, cost drivers, macro trends)
- Experience in equity research or investment banking
- Financial modeling capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze macroeconomic trends impacting resources sector
- Develop commodity market forecasts
- Create investment theses and stock recommendations
- Maintain dynamic valuation models
- Present research findings to investment teams
- Monitor portfolio exposures and market developments
