Key Responsibilities:
Manage and administer recruitment and selection in compliance with EEA, LRA, and company policies.
Place suitable candidates aligned with the Employment Equity Plan and transformation strategy.
Advise stakeholders on the recruitment process to ensure adherence to internal procedures and relevant labor legislation.
Oversee submission and capture of payroll input as per format and monthly deadlines.
Ensure the accuracy of monthly Human Resources Information Management exception reports.
Implement the Workplace Skills Plan and participate in preparing the Annual Training Report per SETA requirements.
Ensure completion and submission of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) annually.
Manage the assessment of training effectiveness.
Conduct career counseling with employees and advise on career opportunities.
Ensure accurate completion of Sub Education applications and recommend at a regional level.
Ensure compliance with labor relations legislation and company policies, and advise line management on labor relations and disciplinary procedures.
Capture IR issues on the SAP system monthly and submit labor relations reports.
Regularly consult with local shop stewards on matters of consultation and joint decision-making.
Collaborate with the Labour Relations Manager in preparing for arbitrations.
Participate in company negotiations through the Local Labour Forum.
Facilitate and monitor the company’s employee wellness programs in the region.
Refer employees under the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) procedure and advise on available programs.
Advise and facilitate cases of medical incapacity.
Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
Monitor the implementation of the company’s performance management policy and system.
Facilitate input into the Employment Equity Plan through Regional and Main EE Committees.
Assist in conducting the Employee Satisfaction Survey and ensure focus group formation and feedback.
Attend and participate in JW grading committees when required.
Contribute to the formation and amendment of JW HR policies.
Ensure succession plans are in place.
Manage, mentor, guide, and develop subordinates.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Essential qualifications and experience:
A relevant Bachelor’s Degree/BTech/ Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in HR/Social Sciences/ Psychology/ Industrial Psychology
6 years general experience in Human Resource Management practices (HR) with 3 years at a company with a unionized labour force
2 years experience in management of HR team
Valid Driver’s License
