Education Requirements: Grade 10 Certificate (Grade 12 preferred)
Certification: Excavator Operation (NQF 2)
Licenses: Valid Driver’s License

Department: Engineering/Technical Services

Key Requirements:

– Demonstrated excavator/machinery operation experience
– Strong communication skills
– Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance
– Safety compliance expertise

Core Responsibilities:

Operations:
• Operate/maintain excavators, bulldozers, and compactors
• Manage waste compaction and landfill operations
• Maintain site access roads and infrastructure

Equipment Management:
• Conduct daily machinery inspections
• Monitor fluid levels and mechanical systems
• Report equipment issues promptly

Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to Waste Management License requirements
• Implement environmental protection measures
• Follow occupational health/safety protocols
