Position Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- BSc Degree in Biology/Chemical/Natural Sciences
- Management Certification (NQF Level 6)
- Professional registration with recognized body
- 5+ years experience in SANAS-accredited labs
- ISO 17025 System Certification
Key Competencies:
- Expertise in water quality standards (Blue/Green Drop, SANS 241)
- Proficiency with LIMS systems
- Strategic planning for laboratory operations
- Data analysis and interpretation skills
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee sampling operations and resource management
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 and safety standards
- Develop efficient workflows and equipment maintenance plans
- Manage departmental budgeting and reporting
- Lead team performance and development initiatives
