Job Summary
Rand Water is looking for a candidate to repair and maintain electrical systems and components on vehicles, plant, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or N3
- Auto Electrician Trade Test Certificate
- Valid C1 Driver’s License
- Two years of experience in light duty, heavy duty, plant, and equipment (Yellow Machinery)
Primary Duties
- Repair and maintain electrical systems and components on vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Complete job cards and timesheets for review by the Workshop Supervisor
- Attend Green Area Meetings to discuss and address technical problems with other Artisans
- Respond to breakdowns after hours and on weekends
- Repair all faults
- Perform field services to carry out repairs
- Provide escort duties when moving extra heavy loads
Knowledge
- Basic relevant SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) knowledge
- Familiarity with the latest testing equipment
Skills
- Communication skills (verbal and written)
- Knowledge of diesel injection systems
Attitude
- Attention to detail
- Customer service oriented
