Job Description:

• Operate a tractor with various implements, including bush cutter, slasher, spraying machine, fertilizer spreader, and planter at the correct speed.
• Ensure proper soil preparation is done accurately, professionally, and on time.
• Transport workers, farm produce, fertilizers, and other farm equipment safely.
• Perform pruning, suckering, canopy management, and harvesting of fruit trees and vineyards.
• Maintain the tractor, implements, irrigation, and trellis systems.
• Report any defects or breakages on the tractor and implements.
• Manage time effectively for both individual and team tasks.
• Keep records of daily work done, diesel usage, and spraying programs.
• Assist with general farm work.
• Comply with all OHS Act requirements.

Requirements:

• Grade 10 with 3 years of experience as a tractor operator or in Earth Moving Equipment operation.
• Grade 12 is an added advantage.
• Certificate in Tractor and Earth Heavy Moving Equipment operation is an advantage.
• Good reading and writing skills.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Willingness to undergo a competency test during the interview process.
