Position Details:

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Required Qualification: National Certificate (N6 Mechanical Engineering + Trade Test)
Experience Requirement: Minimum 5 Years in Artisan Roles
Location: Eastern Cape Province
Sector: Engineering/Technical Services

Key Responsibilities:

– Oversee workshop maintenance and repair operations
– Manage irrigation system servicing
– Maintain fleet vehicles, machinery, and storage facilities
– Coordinate infrastructure maintenance programs
– Implement health/safety protocols and risk management
– Supervise mechanization projects and budgets
– Conduct equipment maintenance training programs

Essential Requirements:

– N6 Mechanical Engineering Certification with Trade Test
– Preferred: Diploma in Agricultural Engineering
– 5+ years’ experience with tractors, irrigation systems, and farm equipment
– Expertise in borehole maintenance and mechanical repairs
