About the Role

The RCL Foods team is looking for a Stores Clerk to support our Benoni Bakery. You will report to the Recon Clerk and be responsible for managing stock, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate stock levels for continuous production.
• Apply First In First Out (FIFO) rotation to all stock.
• Inspect incoming goods against delivery notes and invoices.
• Record receipt details and sign relevant paperwork.
• Document any short or over deliveries and coordinate with suppliers.
• Process Goods Returned Notes for returned items.
• Create GNRs from delivery notes and invoices.
• Verify that all raw materials have a Certificate of Compliance (COC).
• File material certificates correctly and compare with material identification.
• Return defective raw materials to suppliers immediately.
• Communicate rejected materials and arrange for supplier pickup.
• Segregate and isolate rejected raw and packaging materials in the “On Hold” area.
• Control issuance of raw materials to production and slicing.
• Re‑order raw materials based on stock code requirements.
• Regulate access to stores for suppliers and employees.

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Formal qualification is an advantage.
• Driver’s licence is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
• Knowledge of internal procurement controls.
• Understanding of food safety, health & safety, and COVID guidelines.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Working Hours

Shifts, weekends (including Sunday), overtime, and public holidays as required.
