Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s Degree (NQF9) in Public Administration/Local Government/Economics (MBA advantageous)
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license with own vehicle
- 10+ years senior management experience in medium/large organizations
- Proven experience in local government sector operations
- Strong stakeholder management and advocacy skills
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop provincial operational strategies aligned with SALGA’s national objectives
- Oversee integrated service delivery across multidisciplinary teams
Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to municipal governance frameworks
- Implement risk management protocols across provincial operations
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represent SALGA in provincial intergovernmental forums
- Maintain relationships with municipal leadership and provincial stakeholders
Performance Management:
- Monitor provincial service delivery outcomes
- Prepare operational reports for executive review
