Essential Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Registration as a Professional Technician Engineer.
  • 5-8 years’ experience in water and sanitation projects.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Computer literacy.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Integrate, coordinate, project manage, and financially administer MIG projects.
  • Manage and administer contracts and budgets.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for submission to the Department of Provincial and Local Government (DPLG), as required by MIG management.
  • Provide technical support and evaluate proposed projects in line with the municipal Integrated Development Plans (IDPs) and regional and provincial growth and development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal aspects and conditions from various government spheres. Conduct site visits and meetings to verify adherence to business plan conditions.
  • Manage cash flows and commit project expenditure.
  • Verify payment certificates and prepare monthly payment schedule documentation.
  • Maintain project performance data on the national database.
  • Assist with other related municipal infrastructure programs.
