Position: Project Manager (GEF7 Pillar 2 Program)
Contract Period: 24 Months | Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Remuneration:
R1,059,105 annual all-inclusive package
Minimum Requirements:
- National Diploma (NQF6) in Project Management/Environmental Science or equivalent qualification
- 5+ years project management experience (minimum 3 years at junior management level)
- Proven experience with Global Environment Facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrated success in managing large multidisciplinary projects
- Strong background in biodiversity management and international project monitoring
- Advanced report writing and financial management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project implementation and provide strategic direction to teams
- Represent South Africa at regional/international environmental forums
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement across government and community levels
- Monitor project deliverables against GEF performance standards
- Manage multi-million rand budgets and procurement processes
- Facilitate inter-departmental collaboration and knowledge sharing
