eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality (Durban, KwaZulu-Natal) – Africa’s third-largest city and award-winning metropolitan municipality seeks a qualified Project Executive for its Electricity Unit.

Position: Project Executive (Electricity)

Core Responsibilities:

Project Leadership:

  • • Lead implementation of major capital/development projects
  • • Oversee project management processes and financial controls
  • • Conduct productivity studies and performance assessments

Strategic Management:

  • • Develop international partnerships for sustainable energy solutions
  • • Manage change processes and policy implementation
  • • Represent department at national-level meetings

Essential Requirements:

  • ✔️ BSc Engineering (Electrical) – NQF Level 8
  • ✔️ ECSA Professional Electrical Engineering Technician registration
  • ✔️ Valid driver’s license
  • ✔️ 6 years post-registration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • • 7+ years relevant experience
  • • Experience in municipal energy infrastructure projects
