Technology Innovation Agency
The Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) was established by an Act of the South African Parliament on 24 November 2008. It is an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology, created through the Technology Innovation Agency Act No. 26 of 2008.
TIA is a talent-driven, customer-focused organization that aims to create impact. We support technology innovation for socio-economic benefits. We seek team players who are value creators, agile thinkers with progressive attitudes, customer-centric approaches, dynamic work ethics, and optimism. These qualities help build a culture of teamwork, impact, and accountability.
In fulfilling our mandate, we offer funding and non-funding support to drive innovation. This boosts the economy, improves lives, and protects the environment. We promote careers for previously disadvantaged people in line with the Employment Equity Act, as amended. We reserve the right not to make an appointment.
