Professional Officer Opportunity: Roads & Stormwater Infrastructure

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: 3-5 years
Education: BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering

Cape Town, Africa’s third-largest economic hub and legislative capital of South Africa, seeks a qualified Professional Officer to join our infrastructure team. This role focuses on delivering critical roads and stormwater projects across the city.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree with 3-5 years’ experience in civil infrastructure projects
  • Proven expertise in road/stormwater design and project management
  • Knowledge of development application assessments (advantageous)
  • Eligibility for ECSA professional registration
  • Valid driver’s license (Code B)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop infrastructure plans for roads, drainage, and related systems
  • Manage implementation of transportation and stormwater projects
  • Provide technical guidance for development approvals
  • Oversee permits and wayleave coordination
  • Support district infrastructure planning
