Professional Officer: ADMS Innovations

Requirements

  • BSc/BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering
  • Eligible for registration as a Pr Eng / Pr Tech with ECSA
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in power distribution networks
  • Knowledge of power system modeling and analysis
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Experience with Linux and MS Server
  • Knowledge of power system analysis/optimization tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Skills in developing, drafting, and supervising engineering processes, policies, best practices, procedures, project documentation, and ensuring compliance
  • Knowledge of project methodology
  • Knowledge of tenders and contract management is an advantage

Key Performance Areas

  • Develop a working knowledge of the functionality supported by various ADMS applications and support services
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the capabilities of the ADMS
  • Implement and deploy new functions and displays on ADMS
  • Assist with the formulation and execution of tenders
  • Develop ADMS reporting and data manipulation requirements
  • Stay current with all developments and aspects of the ADMS applications
  • Provide training, such as participating in and contributing to regular knowledge-sharing sessions; developing, drafting, and supervising engineering processes, policies, best practices, procedures, and ensuring compliance
